About this calculator
The bigger pack is not always the better deal. This unit price calculator does the awkward math for you: it converts every product to the same base unit — price per kilogram, per litre, or per item — so you can compare like with like and spot the genuine best value in seconds.
How it works
Each product you enter is converted to a single base unit so the prices can be compared fairly. Weights are compared by price per kilogram, volumes by price per litre, and counts by price per item. The lowest unit price is the best value, and the savings figure compares it against the most expensive option you entered.
Frequently asked questions
What does this calculator include?
It compares two or more products of the same type — all by weight, all by volume, or all by count — and tells you which one costs the least per unit.
How is the result calculated?
Each product’s price is divided by its total quantity in a common base unit, then compared. Nothing is rounded until the final display, so the ranking is exact.
Can I mix grams and litres?
No. Products measured in different ways cannot be compared fairly, so the calculator will ask you to keep every item in the same measurement family.
Do you store what I enter?
No. Every calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
